Darren Thompson Signature Flute

Jon Norris

I'm proud to announce a collaboration with Darren Thompson (darrenthompson.net), an educator, public speaker, facilitator, and Native American flute player from the Lac du Flambeau Ojibwe Indian Reservation in Northern Wisconsin. Darren approached me last year with a concept for a signature bird head flute that featured the great blue heron, a symbol of leadership among the Ojibwe people. I developed a flute with a modern sound, but heavily antiqued to look like artifacts from the Northern Plains.
